Christmastime Stirs Memories
As Christmas time approaches, my heart reflects on winter’s past. Memories of when the older children were at home, who now live in different parts of the country. My hearts bittersweet.
Life seemed to be more predictable than, more scheduled and more routine. Maybe it was because there were so many kids at home I had to be more organized. Even though we have 4 children left at home, most of the time it’s just Emma, while Grace, Hannah, and Hayden are busy with friends and extracurricular activities.
As Christmas music plays through the house, I continue to find myself reminiscing about how things used to be. Christmas family activities like decorating the tree, baking cookies, playing Santa with the kids are great, we’re creating memories for them, it’s just different without everyone.
Family traditions continue, they may differ, but I feel so blessed to have such a beautiful and wonderful family. May God bless you all during this joyous and magical time of the season.
I love you all dearly – @mrsgeno
I would wish for wonderful things to come to you.
I wish you happiness in everything you do,
May worries and problems not come to you.
And strength to accept all that life sends your way.
May you rise each day with sunlight in your heart,
And may your hopes and dreams find a new start.
I wish that all your joys, and wishes will come true.
When these special wishes are delivered to your door,
There’s no doubt they will be, accompanied by many more.
There couldn’t be another
that’s wished more warmly or sincerely.
